About Ryan Borden
Building businesses and marketing systems online for nearly as long as the commercial internet has existed.
I first got online around 1993. By 1999, while I was in college, I was using PayPal, buying and selling on eBay, and experimenting with online arbitrage. In 2001, I made my first $1,000 online as an affiliate selling inkjet cartridges.
I began experimenting with SEO around 2003, and by 2007 I was using it to generate real revenue. I later became part-owner of a brick-and-mortar SEO agency, working with businesses on search, lead generation, direct outreach, content, and conversion.
In 2011, I moved deeper into marketing automation and software — building systems that could do work faster and at a scale that wasn't practical to handle manually. I also began publishing on YouTube, where my videos have been viewed more than a million times.
The tools have changed dramatically. The real problem hasn't. Businesses don't need more random marketing activity — they need dependable systems that turn their expertise, offers, and attention into leads and sales. That's been the through-line of my work: direct outreach, content, SEO, automation, and practical marketing systems that produce measurable results.
I started using ChatGPT within days of its public release and was recognized among the top 1% of ChatGPT users in 2024. Today I apply AI to real marketing workflows — not to generate more words, but to make marketing smarter, faster, and more effective.
It turns a business owner's expertise into content that sounds like them and is designed to work. Its Heat-Seeking Engine studies the signals prospects leave through searches, reviews, comments, and online behavior to identify what people actually care about. Because everybody has content now — the more important question is: does it work?
Beyond the work
I'm a Christian and an active volunteer with a food program that serves families in my community. I believe business is an honorable activity when it creates genuine value — and that good marketing helps the right people understand how you can help them.
